Let’s play pickleball!
This one-day pickleball tournament organized by Nomads MNL will be held at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center (NRSCC) in Lingayen, Pangasinan on April 12, 2025. Pickleball is one of the many sports activities during the Philippine Beach Games 2025.
Tournament Categories and Format
NOVICE: (5 teams each for Womens Doubles, Mens Doubles, and Mixed Doubles)
INTERMEDIATE: (5 teams each for Womens Doubles, Mens Doubles, and Mixed Doubles)
Rally scoring, patterned to MLP (Major League Pickleball) will be used for all matches where a team can score a point whether they served the ball or not. Games are played to 21 (sudden death if tied at 20). You can only earn your winning point while serving.
Single round robin will be played during eliminations. Top 1st and 2nd teams based on games won will advance to championship match (to determime Gold and Silver). Top 3rd team will be Bronze, no battle for 3rd.
Category Definitions
NOVICE: (skills self-rating level: 2.0 – 2.5)
Learning the basics, focusing on simple shots, and developing control.
INTERMEDIATE: (skills self-rating level: 3.0 – 3.5)
Able to sustain rallies, place shots with purpose, and improve consistency.
